Description:The Turner Memorial School, stood on the corner of Fenpark Road and Paynter Street. This building dates from the 1890s and the school was formerly China Street National School dating from the 1840s. Originally supported by the Allen Charity (set up by a Rector of Stoke), the school originallytook children under 10 years old only. The building has been demolished.
