Description:This photograph was taken to the north of Fenton Park Cemetery and shows the route of an old colliery tramway. The tramway served the Victoria & Fenton Park collieries. One part of the tramway took colliery tubs through what is now Fenton Cemetery down to a coal wharf on Park Street. Colliery tubs were chain hauled up inclines powered by steam engines in engine houses along the route.
