Description:Looking from Glebedale Road across City Road into Fountain Street in Fenton. The ovens belong to James Kent, potters millers, on Fountain Street. The three calcining ovens are grade II listed buildings dating from around 1900. Behind the wall on the right were the grounds of Fenton Vicarage (now Fenton Health Centre) and on the left, the old Sutherland tile manufactory. On the other side of City road, the shops and houses on the corner still stand.
