Description:Pottery factory exterior including bottle ovens and an exterior wooden staircase. Exterior stairs were a feature of pottery factories. Workshops tended to be separate rooms with separate entrance doors. There were no linking rooms, doors or stairways inside the building. Taken at the Goss Falcon Works, Sturgess Street, Stoke-on-Trent. Taken from the Gladstone Pottery Museum Photographic Collection. This photograph is part of the collections at Stoke-on-Trent Museums.
