Description:Looking southwest along Navigation Road from close to its junction with Croft Street. Off to the right is Upper Hadderidge (no longer in existence). In the far distance are the faint outlines of Wolstanton Colliery winding towers. The large works is the Albion factory of W R Midwinter Ltd, earthenware manufacturers. Midwinter's were best known fro table wares but also made figures and "fancies". They merged with J & G Meakin in the 1960s and became part of the Wedgwood group in the 1970s. The factory site is now housing.
