Description:Friar Street was a row of eight terraced houses running off Ashwood in Longton. The road is unmade and the houses earmarked for demolition. In the 1930s, the area beyond the houses was given over to allotments but had been built over by the 1960s. The whole area has been cleared and redeveloped for housing.
