Description:A row of terraced houses with a corner pub. The pub is the Brook Inn, at the south end of Sydney Street at its junction with Lower Clarence Street. The camera is looking north towards Bexley Street. All of these streets have been demolished, they lay in the area between York Street (to the east) and Century Street (to the south). To the right is an old gas street light which has been converted to electricity. Many of the houses have the old H shaped television aerials mounted on chimney stacks.
