Description:The Railway Inn was on High Street (now City Road) on the corner with Mill Street (now Oldmill Street). This is a view east towards Fenton, with an off licence and tobacconists just beyond Oldmill Street. The Railway Hotel was also known as The Romping Cat. City Road widening and the improvement of the A500 (Queensway) interchange meant the demolition of these properties.
