Description:Clarice Cliff 1899 - 1972. Sugar sifter. 1983.P.184. 1929-1934. Over glaze painted earthenware. H : 139 mm. Earthenware sugar sifter. Decorated with an over glaze painted pattern of trees and a cottage. Conical shape with pierced holes at the top. This shape is part of the 'Fantasque' range, introduced in 1929, and produced until 1934. Made by Clarice Cliff whilst working at A. J. Wilkinson, Burslem.
