Description:This text describes brasavola glauca, also known as Glaucous Stemmed Brasavola.

It was discovered by a British botanist at Xalapa in Mexico and sent to the Horticultural Society in 1837.

A footnote on this plate describes how the country was gripped with Orchido-mania.

The author gives some advice about where to go to avoid paying inflated prices for the plants.
