Was forced to take half his wages in Truck at a cost considerably above the market price. He was forced to pay his rent in goods.

He worked for a Truck Master in Burslem and had to sell the goods he received at a considerable loss to pay for lodgings and other necessaries

A property owner who was forced to take goods in payment of rent at a very extravagant price because his tenants were payed in Truck. He describes the families as being in a most deplorable state of wretchedness.
