Description:This building was constructed between 1900 and 1907 and stands on the corner of Baker Street and Glebedale Street (which was previously known as Station Road). The library consists of two adjoining blocks and is north facing with two rear projections. The first block, on the left of the building, has a double door with an internal porch and a decorative stone arch with a keystone and stone steps. Above the door is a semi-circular glazed light, stone pediment and stone entablature. There is decorative wall tiling inside the porch which reads: 'Free Library' above the door.
The second block, to the right of the building, is two rooms wide by two rooms deep. On the north face, the first floor has a circular window with decorative stone surround and keystones, set on a raised gable. There is a paved forecourt to the front of the building.
