Date:June 1984

Description:Many people in the community supported the miners strike of 1984/1985 and joined rallys and demonstrations. This march from Liverpool to London, here passing Lea Hall Colliery in Brereton, Rugeley. Over 90 percent of Lea Hall miners worked during the strike, choosing not to support a strike that, contrary to their own union's constitution, had been called without a strike ballot. The march was organised by the Young Socialist Party.
