Description:The Springfields Hotel in Trent Vale was built in 1763 and was home to the Sheldon family in the late 1800s.
Now a public house, it has since been extensively modified. Modern extensions have been constructed at the side and rear.
This building has recently been renamed The Orange Tree.
Remembering the Springfields Hotel
Bernard remembers the Springfields Hotel:
"Now that would be a lovely house, stands back on the A34 and Clayton Lane runs by its side. It was quite plush at the time. I'm told it's very plush now, quite a place. I believe it's quite popular."
