Description:Sterling Pottery was in Fenton from around 1939 until the mid 195s. The works had previously been part of Bailey Potteries. this photograph was taken at the bottom Of Canning Street, just south of King Street. This area has been completely redeveloped as a commercial and industrial estate. In the background is the Victoria Pottery, similarly demolished.
Sterling Pottery specialised tea and coffee sets, general tableware and novelties. it eventually became part of the Lawley and Ridgway groups.
