Description:This photograph was taken looking along King Street towards Longton from the corner with Bishop Street (to the right). This part of King Street was also known as Star Bank. Opposite on the left hand side is Six Crowns Wood. Many of the late Victorian buildings on the left hand side have been demolished although the houses on the right, mostly built after 1900, still stand.
