Date:October 1964

Description:Looking north along Abbey Lane from close to the junction with Heath House Lane. This lane leads to Abbey Hulton. On the right, the higher ground is part of the site of the old Hanley and Bucknall Colliery, which had closed by 1900. Off to the right is now housing leading into Hulton Abbey Park. The houses on the left hand side between the two World Wars.
