Description:The view north along Wharf Street towards the Tuscan China Works on Forrister Street. Wharf Street is today Bridgwood Street and the terraced houses have been replaced with modern housing. The photograph was taken from the corner of Goddard Street and Anchor Terrace. Park Hall Street crosses further up.
On the extreme left edge is the Joules Stone Ales sign which hung on the corner of the Sea Lion public house. Opposite, the corner shop and off licence has a selection of 1960s advertisements (Double Diamond, Players, Weights, Typhoo Tea). The van parked outside was delivering Sunblest bread and cakes.
On the corner of Anchor Terrace stand a couple of old gas street lights, seemingly still with the burners.
