Description:The Ideal Roller Skating Rink and Ideal dance Hall was on town road in Hanley. The building started life as a Congregational Tabernacle dating from the 1850s. It was superseded by a "new" Tabernacle in 1883. By 1960 the old building was the skating rink and ballroom. The entrance is a more modern addition, but the hall retains the Venetian window and the pedimented doorway. This part of the old Town road now lies beneath the A50 Potteries Way.
