Description:This photograph was taken looking northwards along Biddulph Road (A527) at the northern end of Fegg Hayes. The bridge in the centre carried the Biddulph Valley Branch railway line. The railway bridge has been replaced by a pedestrian bridge carrying the Biddulph Valley Way along the line of the dismantled railway.

The railway line, built by the North Staffordshire Railway to connect Stoke with Congleton, mainly carried coal. The last train ran in 1968.
