Description:Looking north over the Italianate Garden towards the remains of Trentham Hall. To the left is the conservatory and West Court, in the centre, St Mary's and All Saints' Church and partly obscured by trees, the sculpture gallery.
The semi-circular West Court gave access to the original main, west side entrance to Trentham Hall with the conservatory on the side nearest the camera.
Trentham Church dates back to the 12th century Priory although the present building reflects the 2nd Duke of Sutherland's rebuilding work of the 1840s. The sculpture gallery also dates from Charles Barry's extensive rebuilding in the 1840s. Charles Barry also designed the formal Italianate Garden in the 1840s, now extensively renovated.
