Description:The photograph is looking northeast along Campbell Road away from the junction with Stone Road at Hanford Bridge. Where the photographer was standing is now part of the Hanchurch roundabout and flyover.
The three storey buildings on the left are part of St Joseph's College and in the left foreground is one of the prefabricated (prefab) houses that were built after the Second World War. There were over fifty built at the junction of Campbell and Stone Roads. Just off the left edge of the photograph is St Teresa's Church. The River Trent is off the photograph to the right. Round the corner, further along Campbell Road is the Michelin tyre factory. This area on the left of Campbell Road became part of the Michelin works and today is the site of distribution warehouses. Access to the M6 and A500 (Queensway) is just behind the camera. Just beyond the cyclist is a road safety poster "Mind that Child".
