Description:This was the view east from near the allotments at the bottom of Richmond Street in Penkhull. On the right hand edge is the tower of St Peter's Church in Stoke (Stoke Minster) and the domed building in the centre foreground is the old Co-op building on Liverpool Road in Stoke. To the left is the spoil tip belonging to Berryhill Collieries. In the far distance are two more (unidentified) tips. The two bottle ovens in the left hand corner belonged to a works on Lovatt Street.
