Description:This photograph was taken at the start of Davenport Street (A5271) just after the Trubshawe Cross roundabout. The Royal Bradwell Ware building belonged to Arthur Wood & Sons, earthenware manufacturers from the 1920s to 2003. The Arthur Wood group included Price Bothers and Kensington Pottery, who produced National Teapots at the Top Bridge Works on neighbouring Newcastle Street. Like this works, Royal Bradwell backs onto the Trent & Mersey Canal. Neighbouring was the Unicorn Pottery teapot works, also part of the Arthur Wood group. Most of the Bradwell Works has been demolished and the site is now warehousing and light industry.
