Description:The view west along Queen Street in Burslem, from the junction with Waterloo Road. The Food Fair building used to be the Burslem & District Co-operative Society Emporium, an Art Deco building opened in 1931. Next door is the Wedgwood Institute building with the ornate front. Right at the bottom of Queen Street is St John's Square and the Bull's Head public house.
On the left hand side, opposite is the Queen's Head public house and beyond that, set back from the street and hidden, is the Burslem School of Art. Just beyond is Johnson's tobacconists, with an array of advertisements. There is little traffic today following pedestrianisation.
