Date:June 1964

Description:The view looking south along Bowden Street from Minster Street. In the distance is the spoil tip of Sneyd Colliery and at the bottom, but out of sight, is Moorland Road. The terraced houses at this end of Bowden Street date from the 1890s, the Moorland Road end wasn't built until the 1920s. Back alleys run off the street on both sides.

The housing view is much the same but the spoil tip has disappeared, having been lowered and landscaped to make Sneyd Hill Park.
