Description:Smallthorne Pioneer Club and Institute at 162 Ford Green Road in Smallthorne. This is reputed to be the earliest Working Men's Club in the City (according to Bert Bentley). The club was on the corner of Ford Green Road and Chapel Lane (renamed Sangster Lane). The building has been demolished.
