Description:The Coach and Horses Inn is towards the north end of Oldcourt Street, near then junction with Roundwell Street, in Tunstall. To the left, the tall building is the Oldcourt Pottery and behind the inn on the right is the rear of the school on Forster Street. Oldcourt Pottery is a red brick, five storey Victorian pottery, thought once to have been a brewery. The Forster Street school was once the Wolstanton School Board building, dating from 1880. In the foreground is an old gas lamp, by the time of the photograph, converted to electric light.
