Date:June 1964

Description:The view over Tunstall from the higher ground of Little Chell. The photograph was taken from the junction of Little Chell Lane and Scott Road looking south west. The spire on the horizon is probably Christ Church, Tunstall, the photograph being taken before the spire was demolished. In the centre is the cluster of buildings of the Greenfield Pottery.

This area was developed for housing in the 1920s and 1930s, the houses in the foreground date from this time.
