Description:The cameraman was on the corner of Adderley Road (left), looking south along Ford Green Road in Norton in the Moors. In the distance Ford Green Road continues uphill towards the Smallthorne roundabouts. The spoil tip to then left is from Sneyd Colliery. The lower ground running across the middle of the photograph is the valley of the Ford Green Brook. The houses on the extreme right hand side date from the 1880s, those on the left were built in the 1930s. The Double Diamond public house few yards down the road on the left is the Robin Hood.
