Description:View west along Millrise Road (originally Market Street) from Leek Road/Baddeley Green Road (A5009) corner. The large building on the left was Millrise Congregational Chapel, later used as a Free Gospel Hall and then a Baptist Chapel.
Congregationalism at Milton dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The present building was built in 1880 on the corner of Adams Street. Closed as a Congregational Chapel in 1922, it became a Gospel Mission in 1937. More recently it served as a Baptist Chapel. the building now has a commercial use.
