Date:June 1964

Description:This is a view north along Adams Street from Newleigh Street (once New Street) in Milton. Millrise Road is at the top, with the line of trees. The large building (right) at the corner of Adams Street and Millrise Road was a Congregational Chapel, originally built in 1829 and re-built in 1879. The building is no longer a place of worship. The terraced houses date from the mid 19th century; those on the right hand side however have been replaced with bungalows.
