Description:The sketch shows "Queen", the horse drawn tram running between Hanley and Burslem as it passes Enoch Bennett's draper's shop. Enoch Bennett was Arnold's father and ran a draper's shop at 90-92 Hope Street, in Hanley, whilst he was studying law. Arnold Bennett was born here in May 1867. The Hanley and Burslem horse tramway ran along Hope Street and Waterloo Road and was opened in 1862.
