Description:St. Mark's Mission Church was built on Tinkersclough at the north end of Mount Pleasant, later part of Clough Street. The Mission Church was built around 1912 and replaced a neighbouring Mission Hall built at the end of the nineteenth century. The mission centre was opened from St. Mark's church, Shelton. The building has been demolished and the area redeveloped for industry.
The roof vents to the left of the photograph belong to the Potteries Motor Traction Company's Clough Street garage.
