Description:No. 1, Brook Street, the Tudor Gothic style building on the corner of Brook Street and Glebe Street was built in 1867. It was originally a house and later became a National Provincial Bank branch. Today it is a grade II listed building.
Brook Street is to the right and is so named because it is built over the Fowlea Brook. The street has a row of grade II Tudor Gothic terraced houses similar to number 1 but built 30 years earlier. The building to the left with the scaffolding was The Saracen's Head public house and has been demolished
