Description:This is a view south west along London Road from Sheppard Street. The woman on the right is passing the front entrance of the London Road Bakehouse. It closed in 2021 after 140 years of trading and was unique because of its coal fired ovens. A nameplate with the ovens indicated they were made by Alfred Hunt. It was owned by a family named Thomas and was known locally as Thomas's and in later years they also made sandwiches on the premises.
