Description:Trio, 'Glen Mist' pattern designed by Susie Cooper for Wedgwood.

Susie Cooper was born in Stanfields, Stoke-on-Trent in 1902 and studied at Burslem School of Art. She joined A.E. Gray & Co Ltd.'s pottery in 1922, but left in 1929 to set up her own business, Susie Cooper Potteries, with her brother-in-law Albert 'Jack' Beeson. By 1931 the company was operating from the Crown Works in Burslem. In 1966 the company was bought out by Wedgwood and Susie Cooper became one of Wedgwood's chief designers in the 1960s and 1970s. She retired to the Isle of Man in 1982 and died in 1995.
