Description:Branched Bur-reed is a perennial of shallow waters such as canals, ponds and lakes.

Flowering between June and August, it can grow up to a height of 1.5m. It has distinct male and female flower heads on each plant.

This example was found growing at Smethwick in the West Midlands by Elizabeth Reynolds.
