Description:Butterbur is a perennial that forms in patches around wet places, especially riversides. This plant is abundant in Manifold Valley. Its flowers develop before its leaves.

Flowering between March and May, it can grow up to a height of 40cm and 50cm across.

This example was found growing at Manifold Valley in Staffordshire, by Eric Edees.
