Description:At the beginning of the 19th century, parish workers called church wardens were responsible for dealing with anti-social behaviour on the Potteries' streets.

A common cause for complaint were the crackers, fireworks and squibs that hissed and cracked all night long.

This notices publicises a two-guinea reward for anybody with information that could lead to a prosecution.

An extract from the laws of England accompanies the caution.
