Description:You will find this common perennial plant in woods, and on hedgebanks, heaths and grassy hillsides.

Flowering between April and July, it can grow up to 20cm in height.

This example was found growing at Whitmore in Staffordshire, by local naturalist Eric Edees during May 1954.
