Description:A coal train passes through Cobridge station during 1932.
The bottle ovens in the background now belong to Moorcroft Pottery, but are no longer used for firing.
Cobridge was connected to the railway network by the Potteries loop line (known locally as 'the knotty').
The knotty also passed through Hanley and Burslem, reconnecting with the main line at Kidsgrove.
From this scene, only the trackbed and bottle ovens remain today.
