Description:Photograph of Bernard, known as Bert (seated), and George Procter, his son, pictured in the Office at Gladstone China, Uttoxeter Road, Longton. The office was described as 'bare and grimy.' The Procter family had owned the Gladstone China site since the 1870s, trading as George Procter and Company from 1892. The factory ceased production in the early 1970s but after restoration re-opened as Gladstone Pottery Museum. Taken from the Gladstone Pottery Museum Photographic Collection. This photograph is part of the collections at Stoke-on-Trent Museums.
