Description:Charles Barlow, pottery manufacturer, with three other men, pictured at the family home at Highcroft, Windmill Hill, Rough Close. Seated left is probably Thomas barlow, his eldest son. This is one of a set of photographs of the Barlow family of Highcroft, Windmill Hill, Rough Close. The Barlows were pottery manufacturers at the Coronation Works, Longton. This photograph is one of a number taken in the 1890s before the death of Charles Barlow. Much later, possibly in the 1930s, they were turned into postcards for the family's use by William Blake. These photographs were taken by a member of the barlow family, possibly Mrs Barlow who is rarely seen in the family groups.
