Description:Lantern slide showing a display case containing a selection of ware by Bernard Moore. Formerly of Moore Bros., Longton, Bernard Moore is noted for producing Flambe Glaze ware during its revival in the early 20th century. The Moore Brothers occupied the St Mary’s Works in High St /Uttoxeter Rd. The factory was originally built in 1862 was later owned by T.C.Wild & Sons Ltd - famous for the Royal Albert china & the building is still standing and is located in the Mount Pleasant area of upper Longton.

This lantern slide appears to be one of a group used for a presentation or slide show by Blake entitled “Staffordshire Pottery.”

A small folder containing approximately sixty reader cards was found in the same box as the slides. The cards contain information about the images. The card that appears to correspond to this slide reads;

"Bernard Moore Ware. Colour and quality of glaze are the unrivalled specialities of this ware. The slide shows priceless specimens but does not convey their rich magnificience [sic]."
