Description:Looking south west from close to the Daisy Bank Bridge along the A53 (Leek New Road) with Sneyd Green to the left and Holden Bridge in the centre distance. The photograph was taken from near Bellerton Lane. On the immediate right is the edge of the spoil tip which belonged to Norton Colliery and Ford Green Ironworks. The tip in the distance belonged to Sneyd Colliery.
Daisy Bank Bridge carried the Leek New Road over the Bank Haye Brook, which flows into the River Trent near Carmountside, and the Biddulph Valley railway line, now dismantled. The area to the left has been largely reclaimed with open space, housing, commercial & leisure uses.
