Description:The photograph is taken from the corner of London Road in Trent Vale. The camera is looking north west along Keelings Drive. The western part of Keelings Drive, leading to Newcastle Road (A34) was developed in the early 1920s, this eastern end was laid out later by the Sutton Dwellings Trust. The Trust built over 300 houses on the roads surrounding Keelings Drive by 1929. The trust was endowed by William Sutton who bequeathed his wealth (from a parcels and packages delivery company) to trust for the building of lower rent housing in England.
Parked on the corner is an Austin A40 "Somerset", a four door saloon car produced in the early 1950s.
