Date:August 1963

Description:The up side of Trentham Station and the entrance from Hem Heath Colliery. On this side is just a small waiting room ( the single storey building on the left), on the down side are the main station offices, including the Duke of Sutherland's private waiting room (the three storey building).

Up to the 1960s there were between 15 and 20 trains a day serving Trentham from Stoke. From Trentham there were around 5 trains a day to Trentham Park station along the Trentham Branch line. This regular service ran only until 1927, but excursion trains ran until the line was closed in 1957. Trentham Station closed in 1964 a year after the photograph was taken.
