Description:A cookery class at the Sutherland Institute, Longton with the caption: "Who Cares for 1917 Weather with a Kitchen like this?" The girl in the centre is Olive Eardley (later Hill), who was the daughter of William Blake’s friend Albert Eardley, a pottery designer and painter. Olive later worked as Blake’s photography shop assistant and ran the shop for nearly 20 years after his retirement.
