Description:Until the 1950s Garth Street was known as Bath Street. The building in the centre of the photograph was the Bath Street Works, originally occupied by Thomas Twyford (sanitary ware manufacturer) in the 1870s, before the company moved to Cliff Vale. In 1907 it was occupied by Walshaw & Edwards who were decorators of art and earthenware. By the early 1960s it was St George's Fine China. All buildings along the street have been demolished.
